    Karymsky is one of the most active volcanoes on the Kamchatka peninsula. The volcano is located in the caldera of the extinct volcano Dvor. Located near by are the volcanoes Bolshoi Semiachik and Maly Semiachik.
    It's latest large period activity is evident because of several lava streams throught Dvors caldera. The current activity at the volcano is a mix between Strombolian and Vulcanian eruptions.

Volcano World

Eruption - January 26, 1998

   An ash plume reached 9,800 ft up in the atmosphere after a Vulcanian eruption. The ash cloud spread toward the east, but no speeds of the cloud have been reported. An increase of volcanic activity has been noticed in the area lately.
